We hit Derby Arboretum for James & Charlotte’s engagement session, arriving just as the sun was going down. Cue amazing evening light. The Arboretum is a nice park, always brimming with people and has a real community feel. History buffs will appreciate that it was Britain’s first public park – but that’s not really what makes this place special to these guys.
This is the spot where James proposed to Charlotte, so it was quite fitting to return here to mark this important point in their history together. In-front-of-camera nerves dissipated as they piggybacked, climbed, hugged, made faces, laughed, kissed and held each other through the park to end up surveying ‘their’ place from atop of the climbing rock.
These guys are tying the knot this Saturday, woohoo! And weather permitting they’ll be back at the Arboretum picnicking and surrounded by their friends & family. We can’t wait.
Yes, James is a very handsome looking fellow, and you might recognise him as one of the singers from stellar wedding & event party band The Distractions. Check these guys out if you get a chance – we can attest to the fact they’re flipping good, having witnessed them create some hot & heavy dance floor action at Dave & Ruth’s wedding back in March.
